Himalayan Tea

I don't remember where I got this recipe, but I make this anytime I have a cold or the flu and it is wonderful!

Ingredients

1 tbsp fennel or anise seeds
6 green cardamom pods
12 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 1/4 inch piece of ginger, peeled and smashed
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
2 bay leaves
6 Tbsp honey
7 cups water
2 Tbsp Darjeeling/Assam tea
1 cup milk
 

Method

Put 7 cups water in a pot with all of the spices.  Bring to a boil then simmer for 10-15 minutes.  Take the pot off of the stove and add the tea.  Seep for 2-4 minutes.  Add milk and return pot to the stove.  Bring to a heat where the milk is warm and looks a bit thick.
